The New Sense

Nothing much to report for the last few days. There's a big brouhaha over the government sponsorship scandals. The bar consensus — Chrétien should resign. Besides, he's been there long enough. And everyone knows that there's been a load of crooked wheeling and dealing going on for ages.
B— suggested that Olga stand to replace him as PM. This caused much hilarity. Her first decrees in office would be to lift the ban on cigarette advertising and make the Norwegian National Day a Canadian public holiday, complete with free aquavit for all residents over the age of 14. Soon tattooing would be available on Medicare and liver organ donation become compulsory.
B— has been spending a lot of time on the net. Almost all day, every day this week. He has such an attractive combination of coolness and nerdiness. When I ask him about what he's doing on the net he just says he's doing 'research'. He seems a bit stressed, as though he's waiting for something to happen.
