Sticky Water

Dosage is very important when producing lubricants and glues. Look at water: a certain quantity works as a lubricant (which is why we can wash spiders down the plug hole) while a lesser amount becomes a glue (which is why we feel sticky on a hot day and why suction cups cling better when they’re wet). This may be true of many substances which we aren’t used to thinking of in more than one way. Molasses as lubricant? KY Jelly as glue?
